Cheryl O'Connor is principal of O'Connor Consulting, specializing in management and marketing strategies for the new world. O'Connor has over thirty years of experience in the marketing and selling of thousands of new homes in Northern California. In her career, she has held senior management positions with Summerhill Homes, Warmington Homes, Taylor Woodrow, Ponderosa Homes and The O'Brien Group.

Over the past 2 years, she has served as Acting Chief Executive Office of the Building Industry Association of the Bay Area re-inventing the membership organization with reduced overhead and a more defined advocacy mission.

O'Connor Consulting has collaborated with BRIDGE Housing and HomeBricks in their efforts to market and sell 250 below market rate homes in San Francisco. O'Connor was instrumental in designing a strategic sales and marketing program targeted to reach the potential home buyers for these affordable projects.

O'Connor Consulting launched the first county wide energy retrofitting program with the County of Sonoma. As the first woman Regional Chair of the Building Industry Association in 2008, she was successful in launching the first Sustainability Initiative by a home building association that endorsed mandatory green building standards.

O'Connor is a green building and affordable housing advocate and is a LEED Accredited Professional and holds a California Real Estate Broker's license. She also serves on several Boards and committees including Metropolitan Transportation Committee Policy Advisory Council, Build it Green, HomeAid, East Bay Economic Development Association, Jobs & Housing Coalition and Women Lead.

  • Honored with Sales Manager of the Year and Marketing Director of the Year for MAME, the first and only time one person received both awards in the same year
  • Recipient of thirty-seven Home Builders Association MAME (Marketing and Merchandising Excellence) Awards, including five “Community of the Year” Awards.
